However, this convenience can blur the lines between work and home life, leaving little room for the quality family time that is essential for parenting.


Having the latest gadgets or the fastest Wi-Fi often means we can accomplish more, but it can also lead to less face-to-face interaction, which is crucial for both personal and familial development. Research indicates that children require around 30 minutes of interactive playtime each day to foster their social and emotional skills, highlighting the importance of unplugging and connecting personally.

A crucial step in managing ambition and parenting is learning to prioritize effectively. This involves identifying what matters most to you and your family.

For instance, you may want to focus on securing a promotion at work, attending your children’s school events, or simply carving out more family time at home. The crossroads church community has challenged us to be more intentional with our time. My family and I have pledged to participate in our church community's digital reset to unplug from the overuse of technology.
